The Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions Has Achieved Similar Performance Improvements
Harvard's Risk Management Foundation has achieved significant performance improvements within Harvard's CRICO system through a program including online education in Electronic Fetal Monitoring and Management of Shoulder Dystocia, along with team training and publication of OB practice guidelines. Measuring improvement based on an Adverse Outcomes Index, rather than claims data, they have been able to measure improvement contemporaneously and demonstrate similar results to HCA.
