MDAdvantage, a leading provider of professional liability insurance in New Jersey, has chosen to provide its attorneys with access to APS’s CLE offerings. They are requiring that firm associates complete at least one APS CLE course before becoming an MDAdvantage-approved associate. The growing list of APS CLE offerings includes “Introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring for Legal Teams” and “Advanced Fetal Assessment and Monitoring for Legal Teams: Pattern Definition and Nomenclature.” These courses have been derived from APS’s industry-leading, online continuing medical education (CME) courses and provide lawyers with not only the gold-standard training that clinicians use in hospital settings to reduce risk and increase patient safety, but also legal information pertinent to medical malpractice cases. Formatted for a legal audience, the CLE courses include attorney commentary and real-life case studies to assist attorneys in understanding the importance of the medicine involved in medical malpractice cases.
